The Hunting at Cheyenne Ridge

The diverse habitat is one of the most compelling reasons why hunters return to Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge year after year to enjoy South Dakota pheasant hunting.

Occupying a setting other South Dakota hunting lodges find enviable, Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge overlooks Lake Oahe, whose wetlands and cattail marshes enhance your pheasant hunting in South Dakota.

In addition to pheasant hunting in South Dakota, you’re invited to experience three of our other hunting venues. The North Platte Outpost, offers duck hunting, goose hunting, whitetail deer hunting, and turkey hunting on 5,000 acres of Weinreis-owned land. Deer hunts are archery hunting or rifle, using our two-seater tree stands, ground blinds or spot and stalk.

The Hat Creek Outpost, provides 44,000 more acres of Weinreis- owned land, which is home to whitetail deer, mule deer, antelope and turkey. Twelve miles of creek bottom, and acres of rolling hills and draws means great hunting.

The Little Missouri Outpost focuses on one thing—trophy game. This Weinreis-homesteaded, 35,000-acre outpost has whitetail deer, mule deer, antelope and upland bird hunting. Here, you can be certain your hunt will be challenging and rewarding.

The Lodge at Cheyenne Ridge

Your all-inclusive South Dakota pheasant hunting vacation is greatly enhanced with a stay at Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge. The first lodge to ever receive a Beretta Trident rating, it was recently awarded its second Beretta Trident.

Cigar & Cognac Bar:
Of all the pheasant hunting lodges in South Dakota only Cheyenne Ridge Signature Lodge has an “ice bar”. As you pull up a stool you’ll notice that the bar’s surface is crafted from—you guessed it—ice. We thought it an imaginative way to keep your drink chilled as you trade stories with your hunting buddies.

Named for our Whitetail deer hunting, waterfowl hunting and archery hunting outpost in Nebraska, the North Platte Outpost is a favorite spot for our South Dakota hunting guests to unwind while enjoying something from our fine collection of premium wine and spirits, special reserve ports and cigar humidor.
